TC3 screenshotz.....

@Lewisner: Why should it be that way, a modern graphics engine should be able to handle realistic detailing, take a look at RailSim for example, Lighting, shaders, dynamic weather, animated water oh and 3D cows ;)
Regretfully, the graphics engine is about the only thing that KRS has going for it. As a sometimes user, the AI, signalling and content creation (blueprints *shudder*) are off putting.

Modern take on TC3 (800x600)

Some of you will no doubt think this is sacrilege, but for those who like more modern trains, I've just been playing around with TC3 thus:

(As usual, apologies for the poor quality but it's the best I can get out of my computer for some reason. It always looks much better in the game, even with the settings right down.)

Edit: Some images removed as I've been clearing out my server to save space.

You'll have to forgive a little bit of time-travel here perhaps... but still no wires, so Pendolino needs an EWS loco to pull it on an unusual diversionary route which will take it down the S&C route...

Question for Mike 10 or team member.....

Question for Mike 10 or TC3 team member: I really like your track is it low poly or has features that makes it low poly? It looks very detailed. I just want to say you guys did a wonderful job on TC3.

Thanks for the comments. :)

There is one or two tricks on the tracks but I'm not 100% sure of all the details.

If you lay a sharp curve with the track and then zoom in and out you'll notice the segment length change as you move further away.

We've also added a ballast plane under the track so we can get thinner embankments without risking that floating track that was sometimes evident on Hawes Junction.

Mike.

Nice shotz Cameron, the Class 150's look rather good, will no doubt add these to my future modernistic layout plans.....

A few trees and other accessories have been added to my Vale of Eden route.

Just wondered if young David Dallaston has any plans for some BR Blue Class 37's to go with Rob's future Class 40's please ??

David is no longer involved with Trainz.

The rail-sim.co.uk team have every intention of releasing some blue versions of the 37 though. We're concentrating on fixes rather than extras at the moment though.

Mike.

Thanks Mike, sorry, yes I forgot that David had left, however,
it's great news that his Class 37 legacy will carry on forever in Trainz, in all liveries......:hehe:

Just another one from me in wide screen format, to take in the breathtaking Cumbrian scenery, with a little help from
all the talented accessory creators in Trainzland......:mop:

any screenshots showing items underwater? ie: like bridge supports?

Regards

My only experiment so far had the bridge supports coming and going. However, that was from a TC1&2, map that was imported. That map also seems to display sound problems that are not in the TC3 included maps. i haven't really investigated this fully and there could be all sorts of reasons for these anomalies.

I recall that you still could not see the bridge supports underwater, but I will have to double check to be certain.

EDIT: after checking I find that you CAN see the bridge supports under water, and certain splines, but some objects will not be visible.
