Hi Chaps,
Has anyone else considered that all the routes currently on
the DLS will become obsolete on TANE, as they were built
without the technology that TANE contains?
Interesting thought................................

Don't see what is interesting about that thought as it is not true at all.

All routes that work in TS12 will work in TANE.

A lot of the already existing assets might look better in TANE because of the shadow handling. This will result in a lot of the routes currently on the DLS starting to look (even) better.

sigh, I feel we will be getting a lot more of these "the sky is falling" messages as we get closer to the release of TANE.

I'm looking forward to updating some of my existing routes for T:ANE, specifically replacing track with the "new" system which allows for properly drawn pointwork and of course superelevation. Far from rendering them obsolete, T:ANE may well give them a new lease of life!

While it might take a bit more work, I'm even hoping I can bring in my West Highland routes from the TRS2006 era, merge them to give one route from Crianlarich to Mallaig then upgrade to the new standards.
