Hello everybody,

I wanted to have a look at the script poperties of the unmarked road (spline )( 4 different unmarked road available ).

In Win xp sp 3 - when clicking on edit script - Trainz crashed and the computer hangs - and I have to restart the computer.

In win 7 - when clicking on edit script - Trainz crashes - but I don't need to restart the computer.

I tried this with an existing route and with a brand new one.

Another Trainz mystery? :(

Best regards

If you want to see an asset's script then open the asset via Content Manager "Edit in Explorer" then look for the .gs file and view that using Notepad. Note - .gse files are encrypted and cannot be viewed.

Hello Chris,

Thank you for your reply. I tried to open the script from within Trainz.

Now I checked the 4 road unmarked items from within Content manager. Opened them all with edit in explorer and noticed that none of them has a .gs file .

Would that be the reason, Trainz crashes when opening a script, from within trainz surveyor, which has no .gs file included ?

Best regards

ps forgot something : I wanted to reduce the amount of cars riding on the road.

Hi Kurt - that is not a script issue, simply open the config and adjust the carrate tag.

IIRC values between 3 and 55 are valid, the number is the delay in seconds between each car. A value of 0 is no carz...

I don't know what is causing the crash but, as Andy said, to adjust the carz you need to change the carrate tag in the assets config file.

Cheers

Hello Andy and Chris,

Thank you for your reply. I will change the amount of cars via the config file.

I will also check if it is only those 4 road unmarked splines that lead to a Trainz crash.

Best regards
