Skipping Trainz Versions

Hi everyone,

As you can see on my profile I have UTC, TRS2004 and TRS2006. I am considering purchasing the 2010 version however I didn't buy the 2009 Trainz.

Two questions:

1.) Does skipping the 2009 version mean I miss on some content (mainly locos and rolling stock) or is that included in the latest version?

2.) Will my stuff from TRS2006 work?

For question 1, go to the download station, and tick only the TS2010 box, and see what happens.

Then after that, tick all the versions up to your version at the download station, then see what happens.

Hi,

1) I don't think one can give a 100% comparison between built-in content between the 2 versions - however I think that most of it is there....

2) The answer is "probably yes" - there are some assets made for 2004 that work in 2010, there are some made for 2006 that don't....
The "compatibility mode" will help a lot, many 2006 assests will show "warnings" in the Content manager - but will work...
