signaling tutorial?

does anyone have a video tutorial on how to lay signals down in Trainz Sim 12 ? Sorry dont mean to flood everyone with questions but really dont understand the signaling process as far as where to put them and which ones to use. There's only about 10,000 signals in the menu to choose from...lol. anyway, i tried laying down some., and sometimes it would give me a green light then other were red or flashing yellow. Just cant figure out where im going wrong. Thanks again

It depends. Trainz' native, dumb signals are covered here. There are two kind of far more accurate scripted signals available that are available, JointedRail's and GrahamSea's. JR's don't require configuring, but are only available in a few styles and AFAIK can only do 2-block signalling; GrahamSea's are available in many styles and are the most prototypical available, but each signal requires configuring.
