@steveo241 - I never knew There actually was a holiday train! I thought it was something just made up for trainz - we dont have anything like that over here in the UK...

Nice Photos Guys

Here are two photos that were taken while I was at the Rosewood Railway Museum:

The C17 No.720 running around the train. I believe I was riding in the cab at the time. I got a ride from Kunkala to Cabanda and back to Kunkala. They are their two stations. There is also a remote operated Whirlybird "signal" at the crossing.

And here is the view from the back of the train. My family were the only ones behind the guard's compartment.

Enjoy!

Something a bit different....

This was the "mole" jointly owned by Jarvis and a mining company. My dad tells me that after Jarvis went bust, this is most likely just sitting in a yard somewhere left for scrap...
An interesting piece of equipment nonetheless.

I must say bekaember, your railways over there are nothing like ours, the only place you see that sort of track work over here is at mainline terminals in the middle of major cities, not in (what appears to be) open fields as shown in your photo!!

Many thanks

Hi!

Yes, this is interesting in Hungary. Railways are generally at the edge of towns/cities, it is quite rare that you can see a lot of railtrack in the center of a town/city/etc. One of the expectation is the capitol Budapest there the rails are in the city.

Hi again! ;)

Budapest; an Eurocity from Bratislava heading to Budapest-Keleti Station:

This is the same level crossing, after 5 minutes... This level crossing is in our street. The rail traffic is quite heavy, and (car) traffic jam is common...:hehe:

Budapest, Museum os Railway History; dedicated to the fan of steam engines...;)

And this is my favourite railway station, Balatonaliga. :) It is located near the lake Balaton, the Hungarian sea. It is a lovely place. This station is in the middle of the forest, but 300 meters from the beach.
