Problems with Surveyor

Hi-

My 8 year old son LOVES to spend hours using this program, but the last few days we have had a problem with the Surveyor area. When he tries to load a train, it gets hung up. The panel comes out partway, and then the fun Vista circle starts turning. Any way to fix without reinstalling? If we need to reinstall, can someone point me what to do to back up all the trains and sets he has created? I appreciate all your help everyone!

Does this happen with every train? I had one that would cause the system to crash when I loaded it, but the others worked fine.

What panel? What is a Vista cicle?

A vista circle is the new version of the XP hourglass, or the "computer Working in background" cursor.

As for the panel, I guess Claire means the surveyor controls on the right of the surveyor screen, specifically the train one.

I think what we are missing here is which version of trainz are they running and what are the computer specs. this should of been the first question. Maybe then we would have more of an idea as how to help.
