Patch puzzle

I have just re-installed Trainz 2010 on a pc and it is version 4162. I noticed there was a patch to take it 43434, however when I try that I get a box up stating.....

"This patch file is not applicable to your current installation version. No valid patch operation was specified. Patching aborted."

Are you downloading the patch manually, or using the in game patcher?

I downloaded it from The Auran site.

If you have more than one version of Trainz installed, the patcher may be looking in the wrong place. Click the little search box on the patcher window (the one with three dots ... ) to open Explorer and guide it in from there. That's always been the issue whenever I've had that message.

It may be easier to jump straight up to 44088, and do check that you've got the right patch there as well.

Noted both ideas so started with Vern's and that worked and then I got a notification of a download for a second and final patch. Thanks to you all for the assistance.
