Just for the record, im not mad at the trainz community. Im mad at AURAN or N3V or whatever. This goes for all the other members that have been fed up with this crap.

Ive submitted 10 tickets to your "HELPDESK" in the past 4 days...NO RESPONSE.

Its sad that people would scam you like this.

I purchased a 80% completed game for $41. and when i ask for help. they tell me to pay another $30 for a FCT and we will go from there.

So AURAN thinks theyre smart and can take my $41 and then do nothing about their amature programming and one man tech support

AURAN DONT YOU THINK SOMETHING IS WRONG IF I CAN GET FASTER, SMARTER KNOWLEDGE AND ANSWERS FROM THE COMMUNITY THAN YOURSELVES???

GIVE ME THE SUPPORT IM ASKING FOR, OR IM GOING TO REQUEST A REFUND

OK first of all no refunds second First class tickets are given to you free 30 days with the game get your facts right. Maybe you don't understand there a small company and get backlogged ok. I would love to know why is it only 80% what are you referencing about there?

Okay, we understand you are a bit miffed. I've never had to use the helpdesk, but it's my understanding that they don't always E Mail you back, and have read that some folks have found a solution to their problem on the Helpdesk site itself. Have you checked back there?

It's not very intuitive, I understand.

I have heard a rumor that they have weekends in Australia.

But, it is just a rumor, so I can not really confirm.

Regards,

Well if your problem is waiting in line or slow download speeds logging into the DLS without a first-class ticket, there's nothing wrong with the game.

You have a problem at that point that a first-class ticket will solve.

Really not sure where you're getting the $30 first-class ticket price, since Auran/N3V sells them for $12.99,$17.99,$24.99 and $119.99 (notice there is no $30 in the list)

There is an alternative however, if you don't like paying for a first-class ticket to get faster speeds and reliable connections to the DLS, you can buy from payware creators (full disclosure I am one you can get to my store by clicking my banner) and unlike railworks Trainz doesn't require you to buy everything, but as it has been stated many many times, free DLS access is just that, and since there are exponentially hundreds of times more free users than there are first-class ticket holders, the free users have to stand in line for a few available slots AND they get slower download speeds. It's been this way since 2004 so it's not anything new…

My one and only help desk ticket (earlier this year) took 7 day for a response - which I thought was not bad. So I would not be getting high blood pressure by sending 10 in 4 days and expecting an instant response. Auran/N3V is not Apple, Microsoft, Google etc with offices all over the world and an army of help desk telemarketing workers in India, China or wherever.

At best they would have a small office in Queensland (northern Australia) and only a few full time employees. There are also issues of time zones and even the international date line.

Incidentally, typing angry messages in upper case and in large font is so infantile (or even "Overkill").

Auran haven't had the decency to acknowledge an email I sent regarding an important issue with TS12 two months ago now. Not good form. This is one reason I will not purchase any new versions in future unless there is some respect shown to us, the customers. Just basic respect. That's all.

Well there is Railworks, which is much better and advanced than trainz will ever be at this point.

Very funny...considering the quality of your routes, though, I can see why you say that.

Actually my routes are good from a decency stand point. Now if it's to bland for you then oh well. But my routes are actually good and the routes there are better too.

I've always found it extremely amusing that those who dislike to pay for a first-class ticket, who absolutely loathe payware and/or payware creators, always seem to hype railworks where if you want practically anything out-of-the-box you'll pay for it…

Things that make you wonder:hehe:

i agree with op i brought the game from the auran shop downloaded and installed and then had 730.48 MB of updates that were availible.

contacted support to find out why there were so many updates even though you would expect with a downloded copy to be more or less upto to date, but if you buy it then wish to update it so you have the latest assets you either need a FCT or download at a pathetic 5 Kb/s which when you buy a game you expect to have the latest content or at least near the latest content,

i was told:

As the download in question are updates and not new content, you are not required to download them. Your game will run as expected without having downloaded the updates.

If you would not like to see the amount of content updates available you can play offline.
so they sell me a game i should just deal with it or pay even more to get updates to content in the game or just deal with whatever bugs/gliches there may be and play my game offline.

i am not going to buy another auran product again and am appauled by how they treat their customers.

You have TRS2006. Go into it, and make me a small route that you think is very good and represents your skills. Once done, send it over to me. I wanna run on your great routes.;) As you can see I only have TRS2006, that's why I'm asking someone who has it too.

Cheers,
Joshua

I have actually thought about how N3V may want to consider raising the download speed for non-FCT holders someday. Long ago when Trainz was young and assets were simpler, and thus had smaller file sizes, ~4 kb/s as a download speed might not have been so bad. But now Trainz assets are getting more detailed and thus will have larger file sizes, even into the multi-megabytes, making such a download speed as ~4 kb/s seem to be getting too low. True, the whole point of the lower download speed for non-FCT holders is to make it more enticing to purchase an FCT, but ~4 kb/s might be approaching torture these days, in my opinion.

Regards,

Retro.

Maybe you should submit this problem to the... Nevermind:hehe: I submited a problem to the helpdesk a long time ago and havent gotten a response. But it couldn't have been that important because I don't even remember what it was!:hehe:

I find it rather amusing what you said about updates. I recently bought a first person shooter game for my son, one of the very latest ones via digital download. Lo and behold, after installing and starting it for the first time, I had to, I say had to log in to download around a 1.5Gb of updates before I or my son could even play the game. Now that said game cost me more than what TS12 did. You might want to re-think your comments.
