Northeast Corridor Newport News, VA to Boston-South Station, MA (1024x 768 pixels)

Hello all!

Right now I am in the process of hunting down a type of rail bridge spline (that I hope someone has made).

I am looking for something that resembles this:

Thanks in advance for any help!

On the DLS search MB_plate_girder_bridge_4m,girder, or DS Bridge Girder 01 Expandable.
I recommend the
MB_plate_girder_bridge_4m im using that one on my LIRR Hempstead Line Route hope this helps.

The lubricators are made by BNSF50 and are available on the DLS, search rail lubricator.

And yes I can use those bridges.

Thanks bryin for the compliment!

Best piece of work I've ever seen keep going davis.
I have a question can those tunnels a commodate amtrak superliners because I was thinking that you could provide non service from Union station to washington dulles using the same superliners that the state of california operates, with the loco being either An MP36 or PH59I and use a cab car superliner facing north for the most part when heading into washington.

The tunnels in my route are actually height adjusted to the nearest foot of the real thing.

The First Street Tunnels can accommodate Superliners (they have been through a couple of times recently for different moves) but they cannot accommodate Auto Carriers which gives you a sense of how tight the tunnels are.

There are no existing tracks out to Tysons or Dulles but the Metro is currently constructing the Silver Line out there.

Its quite insane how HSR doesn't go out there considering they would pick up a population about the size of Philly.

There aren't any tracks to Dulles, as strench pointed out. The possibility of using the Metrorail tracks and then switching to mainline tracks near the Fenwick Bridge (currently used by the Metro Yellow Line) or Long Bridge (CSX, VRE, and Amtrak) would be difficult but not impossible from an engineering standpoint - the more feasible location would be at the northern end of the span and would require tracks diverging from the Yellow Line tracks before it entered a tunnel. Difficult, but not impossible.

The real problem is that this would lead to Metrorail suddenly needing to be FRA-compliant because of the direct connection to a Class I mainline railroad, not to mention intermingling Metrorail and Amtrak equipment.

A more plausible scenario is eventually running Silver Line trains on a limited-stop basis to downtown DC from Dulles.

Yeah they are talking about Limited Stop stuff but it would be pretty out of the question for Metro to become FRA compliant with Class 1s especially considering how its run, that would never happen.

@RailRunner154

Thank you very much for the compliment, I'm glad you like it!

@Tremain

Thanks, but what tower are you referring to? The one at CP Virginia?

@RRSignal

Thanks, the white office building is supposed to represent The Democratic Party's headquarters which is kind of cool they are right on the tracks in real life. The asset's name is: "Building City Diag Rd 06" and I couldn't find it on the DLS and I am thinking that it was originally a built-in object in Trainz Classics making it built-in in TS2009 and what I am running on: TS2010.
