A new "old" spur has been added to the P&BRR! :D

Sulosky & Sons, Inc is a trash processor for the nearby incinerator and a new spur has been built. It comes off the tail track of the Grafton Wye on the Grafton Industrials.

The rail follows the nearby highway for a brief distance.

Along with the new industry comes a new train affectionally called the Trash Liner....

The Trash Liner is loaded up at the TOFC yard in Oldtown with a couple of dozen flat cars and their smelly containers. It usually gets one old GP38 and a caboose.

This morning, I was the conductor in the caboose of an eastbound empty log train from off the Paint Creek Branch. Here we are passing thru Mt Union.

I was on my way to get a coffee at 711 when I saw this interesting lash up of leftover Penn Central power leaving Mine 78. Luckily I had my camera handy.

Looking good Joe!

I heard them on my scanner getting their Form D Track warrant before they left then mine and was able to catch them further down the line at the grade crossing below Maxfield.

ah great route ya got there , looks like ya wrote ur own NORAC guide for it too :P , ya left out signalling indications and signage though.

It's track warrants, isn't it?

Yes sir.

It is set up under a system called manual blocks and block limit signals and track warrants. I like the radio chatter and form filling out that this operation creates and requires.

It was used by multiple railroads including Pennsy. It's poor man's CTC.

To find out more about the prototype details of this system, check out:

http://kc.pennsyrr.com/docs/mbs/mbs.php

The route has block limit signals/stations and are similar to rules 293 and RULE 293A found here: (the operation rules for those signals include rule 280)
