New Trouble Posting Pics

Has anyone else been having issues posting pics by using a direct link from a hosting site? For the last couple of months I have. I copy and paste the link in the dialogue box that comes up just like normal but it doesn't post until I go through the process several times for each pic. Very time consuming and I have no clue what's causing this.

Running Firefox 15? Lower left corner I get a javascript error both here and at www.trainsim.com which also uses Vbulletin. What I'm using for a workaround until I get the ambition to troubleshoot Java is to right click the imageshack image, select Copy instead of copy location. Then I come into the message window and CTRL V to paste the image. Does the same thing as the link gadget.

Actually I'm running FF 16. I just noticed the java error. I just updated java which hasn't been done since 2010 so we'll see what happens next.

HA! Didn't notice, there was a recent update and mine says Firefox 16 now. :o This did start a couple months ago, but since the workaround is actually easier I forgot about it until now.

The Firefox group has been cranking out versions so fast that both Flash and Java cannot keep up with them. The very instant a new FF version comes out, it will obsolete either Java or Flash (or both) and you have to download a fresh install of whichever one breaks.

Yes, I've had troubles posting screenshots using my site as a host also. Sometimes it works, but others, I have to do it several times to make it work.

Ensure that Java and or Flash are enabled in Firefox. Go to Tools/Add-ons and Enable the plug-ins. That is if the button next to each item says Enable, then click on them, otherwise the buttons will say disable.

Java, by the way is not the same as javascript. The name is similar, but the former is a true interpreted computer language similar to C++, where as the latter is a scripting language for the web and html.

I have noticed this myself, and have found that I must place the cursor in the message window until the clipboard icon "blinks" before choosing the icon to post an image.

Stopped using Firefox a couple of years ago, and switched to Chrome. Chrome is much faster, has no memory leaks, and I don't get any errors.
