Trainz Plus Beta TLR Phase 2 - 127058

Installed and CC HD runs without problems on max settings. In regards with TLR, which is very clever. I do not like the reversing of consists up the main line, there needs to be a run around function.
A TLR run around function is coming, but is not part of this release phase.
On UK routes it would be a definite no no. CC HD looks very impressive, but i would not install it under my gold membership. Too short for my tastes sorry, but ideal for TLR testing.

Which brings me to a question in regards max distance between industries. As an example, could i set a coal mine in the north of the ECML Kings X - Edinburgh route to service a power station in London.

Does the TLR AI have that capacity over 100 to 200 miles between industries ? It's something that prototypically happened in the days of coal transportation in the UK.

Mike.
There is currently no limit on distances between industries for Dispatch Manager.

After installing this update I had a lot of missing items. When I started a started a database repair I get a error code "Duplicate repair attempt aborted". I have not been able to clear this to run a detailed database repair.

Usually after an update Trainz will normally run a full DBR which it will not display with an onscreen window box. It is possible that you started your manual DBR while the automatic "after update" DBR was still running? Usually a check of the disk activity in Task Manager will tell you if Trainz is running something when it looks like it is simply waiting to start.

My advice is after an install/update is to leave it on the Launcher Screen for a while - go make a cup or tea/coffee - then try again (after checking Task Manager for 0% activity).

It seems as if patience is required! This version needed to verify all the content (cup of tea, biscuits, washing up, afternoon nap) before showing the coal county hdr route. Overnight (uk time) the cost vanished….

Well, that update was quite the chore. It took overnight to finally do a full database rebuild as it would stick for hours at near the end so I just left it and went to bed. Finally this morning I woke to find it finished and the main screen awaiting me. However when I opened it up to see the routes many had Red asterisks. After downloading updated assets for outdated ones that were causing the Faults I got most of the routes good. However I have so far found that the NYC J3a Dreyfuss is showing as packaged faulty.

I uninstalled the asset and reinstalled it and it still shows with this same issue.

Same thing here. Left the program running overnight. The database rebuild took over 8 hours to complete. This morning i can now start some testing.

Mine is still running! I started it over 13 hours ago and my hard disk usage is pegged at 100%! I was going to mention this in the forum when I saw that you and Mike suffered from the same issue.

What concerns me is the memory usage during the DBR. Mine is now sitting at 60% and I'm afraid that TRS22 will run out of RAM and the program will crash.

Comments on first testing:-
1) In general, the automatic dispatch, loading and unloading works well (subject to note 1).
2) The Coal Country route has a couple of stand-offs between different consists - these don't resolve automatically and need use intervention (e.g. manual control, stop train, then resume after conflict resolved)
3) For example, I have a coalmine to power station delivery, the AI will allocate 1 consist for this service, although the sidings hold several useable consists.

Note 1:
I've also used an older route which uses: Auran seaport <kuid:-25:100>, coal mine basic <kuid:-25:1234>, oil refinery <kuid:-25:671>, container station <kuid:-25:37>, Hyde Pulp Mill <kuid:316:27007 and others with multiple load/unload parts - all under the same name. Most of these (exceptions coal mine, oil refinery) don't work with the DLR - it can't recognise the load points, nor recognise the demands from different parts (the seadock is notable for several demands e.g. containers, lumber, coal, diesel etc - none of which are recognised.
This is, I believe, a limitation of the older multi-commodity industries - unfortunately, many of these require updating.

Tried the coal county layout with TLR for about 1 hour till now and excluding the backward tasks (hope in future will be the "turn around train" option for TLR too) AIs stuck themselves about 3/4 times. The dispatch manager works fine (I set it to see just yellow and red alerts). It's very useful to see where troubles are and go there to solve them. Some times ago someone asked for a space on an eventual secondary screen for the dispatch to be shown; I think it could be a good idea to have a flagable option for that for whom has a secondary screen. In that way no game screen space would be obstructed by the dispatch manager or other like that.

here something odd:
I have in a little layout an industry producing general goods. In the same layout there is a seaport and a containers station. Both of the last is not able to find a source for general goods while excluding TLR and using programmed task (old style) the AI finds immediately the source and the destinations as well.
It could be some bug or what?

This build also appears to have fixed the issue of clutter not appearing above 200 meters. Anyone elsetried this out?

Is it me being Homer Simpson, I can not get to drive the locos in manual mode.?
I edit the session to allow dc mode, but the locos still do not move.....???

This is in Coal Country
