Need to Learn to Uncouple in TS2010:EE

Newbie question: I just purchased TS2010:EE and am working throuh the tutorials. In the second DCC tutorial I am at the point where I need to uncouple (decouple?) the locomotive from the consist. I've toggled the uncouple mode so that the big bright red coupler icon appears when I mouse over the connection, but I've not a clue as to what action(s) to take to get the couplers to separate. Thanks.

Click on the red coupler image and then drive away.

Ctl + D to toggle uncouple mode.
