NEED IMMEDIATE ADVICE!!

Hey guys hows it going. i need advice. i was hired by csx in august, then turned down.

they just contacted me for a position in south kearney nj.

the problem is that i am recovering from a surgery on my left knee. im basically back at 100%, but idk if i will pass the strenght test.

what do you suggest i do?

Hi,

Why not contact CSX directly, explain the situation to them and ask how it will impact the test.

That way they will know that you are upfront with them and perhaps another opportunity with them can be available in the future.

Hopefully, they will appreciate your honesty with them.

Wow that's awesome! I've been trying to get a first interview at BNSF, KCS, and UP for 5 months. Haven't had one yet.

I would think turning them down once would put you on the black balled list. What's your secret?

haha i dont know dricketts. one thing though, im 19. how old are you? i remember when i was at the hiring interview, the other guys there were almost all like 30-40+. one guy was like 35, and he said to me was this my first. i said yerah. he got mad and said he had been trying for years.

i gues csx is shooting for younger guys, but that is just common sense.

@aardvark1: when i was hired last time, they told me that the strenght test was to see endurance and if i had any breaks/ surgeries. but i will call csx headquarters and speak to the rep there.

Also, get a letter from you doctor/surgeon explaining that you are healed.

could i get it from my physical trainer?

also, my pt, whom is 10 min. from my house, has the exact same ipcs machine in her building. i asked her today about it and she said she does alot of stuff for the railroad. i cant believe csx made me go to albany for that test.

and another thing, i had to get a physical for csx for the albany gig. will they have mine on file, or will i have to go again?
