The building on the left

Thanks Stationbeem! I'll go careful with the driving. :hehe:

The building is one of Neoklai’s excellent assets. You’ll find it here.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page: http://neoklai.ucoz.ru/news/4

There is also lots of great stuff on the other pages.

Happy Christmas to you too, and to all Forum users.

Thanks Frédo.

It’s always a pleasure to play with such great assets.

The appreciation should really go to the original software designers and army of great creators who make this sim such a pleasure to use.

Once upon a time there were people with
responsibility and there was a clean nature.

The oldest littering of nature I have seen (at historical pictures)
and I remember was in America. (crashed rolling stock from mines.)

I think it is a bitter 'acquirement' of our modern social order.

@GNdome55
Thank you for your kind words in your earlier post.

Casper,
Are you really doing that in 2004? ~snip~

Yes Chris. All of my stuff is produced from TRS2004. It’s the only version I have.

It’s all straight from the box plus DLS and 3rd party downloads only. All credit to the original and inspired software makers and the army of subsequent asset creators.

I don’t like to use any enhancements, so “photoshopping” is not an option I would ever use, other than to do something silly like put in a speech bubble or some attempt at humour (e.g. graffiti) when I always say what has been photoshopped. There is no real need for any form of enhancement with the versatility of the game and such great additional content.

It doesn’t really take very much to set up little scenarios here and there along the route. They are usually composed for camera views (with the screenshot being a by-product) and have relatively very few assets. With sparing use of those and good textures it’s possible to have a packed looking but very economical, screen which won’t kill framerates.

I’m still finding new ways of doing things with the sim. It’s always a joy when some new idea works out well, although I’m never completely happy with the results. I can always see something which could have been done better. I guess that’s all part of the addiction, a spur towards improvement and the endless quest for perfection.

Cheers

Your screens look good Max! If anything, I would suggest a few more mid height bushes in your nature areas, something taller than grass, but not as tall as the trees. Perhaps you could sink a few trees into the ground and see how they look. Nice work though!:)
