Nature Screenshots! (BIG and NUMEROUS pictures!)

Great shots, Casper. I can just imagine the bugs (crickets, katydids, or whatever) chirping in those bushes and tall grasses at night (and who knows, maybe even during the day). ;)

Regards,

Retro.

Thanks guys!

Here’s a shot from up the hill from the railway line, using some of those exceptionally nice Montgolfier balloon assets from denis73.

Thanks as always to all of the great creators.

Great shot Casper. :) I assume the hanging tree branches were made by suspending in mid air and tilting a tree?

Recently I found Denis73's thread in the French-language Trainz forum, and he's got lots of great stuff. :D We English-speaking Trainzers need to check out these Trainz forums in other languages more to find the great stuff found in them that we may otherwise miss out on!

Retro.

Thanks for your kind words guys.

Yes Retro, the tree is tilted and suspended.

Not all trees will tilt. The black twiggy one didn’t until I tweaked the config.txt file by adding –rotate-yz-range and appropriate values.

When running the route it will look a bit odd having trees hanging in thin air when viewed from any other angle other than the fixed camera ...

... unless you apply a valid reason. In this case, tree clearance!:p

Very clever. LOL!

I have just realized several minutes ago or whatever that some of the grammar in my post may have been vulnerable: I think that it might be a bit hard to tilt a tree while you're suspended in mid-air!

Retro. :o

~snip~ I have just realized several minutes ago or whatever that some of the grammar in my post may have been vulnerable: I think that it might be a bit hard to tilt a tree while you're suspended in mid-air!~snip~

In fact I did raise it into the sky first, then tilted it. Tilting first can bury it in the ground!

Anyway, it's now no longer airborne.

The branches have been stripped and the stump cleaned up. It could well find its way over to the "Ignore this post" thread!

That's some good stuff, Bob. I can never manage to get the billboard grass to lay out that well. I thought of posting some shots here, but then Casper comes along and blows up the thread:)

This one's from a route I'm working on called Skookumchuck - Notice the lush forest, but I have completely skipped the grass for now because I'm never happy with the way it lays out - Maybe I better hire that landscaper Bob's using:)

That looks really nice. Keep up the great work! :)

FLikr won't let me "share" the large size :(

In the Share box for your flickr image, under the "Grab HTML/BBCode" section, I see a drop-down menu with "Medium (500 x 400)" showing. Try clicking that and choosing the "Large" size. before copying the image code.
