I liked your piece on the use of the tunnel from the Colorado71 site as part of the cliff face a couple of posts back.

Very creative.

I’ll be using that one. Already downloaded!

Meanwhile I’ve been trying out some mountain pylons from Romanan Trainz Studio. Here’s a fist try at laying them through a bit of mist and over a ridge.

I agree that using the tunnel like that is very clever, Bob. It looks great with the matching ground texture painted around it. I might have to try that also. Great work!

Just the noise of those excellent bird sound files from java23 ..
..and the gentle purring of Dinorius_Redundicus’ Citroen 2cv, when you get close to it.

What a shame screenshots can’t play the sound files.

It sounds rough I know, but that's a real 2CV sound, extracted straight out of a video. You Tube is a gold mine for authentic sounds of vehicles, cows, etc.

Speaking of things Francais, I'm currently trying to model a French farmer. Models of people - especially the face, head and hands - are a huge challenge to me and take ages to get even half decent. Especially so if I only have a single front-view photo to work from, as with this farmer. Anyway, if "Gaston" turns out alright, I think I will stick him in a nice scene from Darkdan's Europe NG 4 layout and publish it here in the Nature screenshots (my favourite screenies thread).

excellent detail but why 2D trees??

Rail4Pete i not understand you have an eye for the detail and composition but the tree 2D your hammer hit your thumb instead of the nail head on if you ask me.
Put some pofig's and see day and night difference and things come to live.
