Nature Screenshots! (BIG and NUMEROUS pictures!)

It sounds rough I know, but that's a real 2CV sound, extracted straight out of a video. You Tube is a gold mine for authentic sounds of vehicles, cows, etc. ~snip~

Apologies Deane! She’s still running as sweet as a nut. I was getting mixed up with the junked Renault. I can’t hear a sound file with that one (quite rightly).

The knocking I was getting must have been coming from another thread.:D

~snip~ Speaking of things Francais, I'm currently trying to model a French farmer. Models of people - especially the face, head and hands - are a huge challenge to me and take ages to get even half decent. Especially so if I only have a single front-view photo to work from, as with this farmer. ~snip~

Good to hear that the creative juices are flowing again.

Here’s hoping that at least some of your new stuff might be available for sharing at some time in the future.

The constant drip feed of your wonderfully crafted, perfectly packaged new assets, and those of several other Master Builders is something that has been sorely missed. I’m sure I’m not alone in thinking that!

I'm really looking forward to seeing how “Gaston” shapes up.

I couldn’t see an image of, ‘this farmer’, unless I’ve misunderstood your post – or are you modelling “Pierre the Invisible” as well?

It is said that he slowly blurs and fades from view in direct proportion to alcohol intake. :p

Making and mixing is more fun than fixing.

Keep up the good work!

Cheers
Casper

Rail4Pete i not understand you have an eye for the detail and composition but the tree 2D your hammer hit your thumb instead of the nail head on if you ask me.
Put some pofig's and see day and night difference and things come to live.

Roy:eek:

You are right about my 2d trees. It is a WIP huge route, and when I started it, pofig's trees where not made or availiable and by that time, many discussions were about wich trees to use . I only placed some trees, but because I need many, I stopped placing some more. I will put most of them on a layer.

Having a comment from, to my opinion, one of the greatest ''texturer'' of the trainz comunity..will make my day :D !

Great shot everyone this is a nice thread !

Settle Gretel, there was no image in that previous post.:hehe:

However, I've finished our plucky little French farmer. Here he is somewhere in provincial France (Darkdan's NG Europe 4).

He'll be on the DLS shortly as 'Farmer 02 basic', a trainz-build 3.3 asset.

And you're right, I am dribbling slowly..

Rail4Pete I felt bad yesterday when i commented i felt to strong but it comes from the heart about something nice going different you know what i mean.
Thing for the to flattering comment and most important for understand the meaning of my comment to grow.
When i started my route(s) way back in 2004/2005 i used the same trees Casper and Deanne are using but gradually replaced and upgraded sometimes painstaking but rewarding and when finally with TS12 and pofig coming along I made the big move and finalize lots of waiting areas replace or redid them completely you know what i mean. Never be scare or think to much work as than your route will grow the next step.
By the way really great texturers in our community are Casper, Deanne just to name a few forgetting right away many others.

have a nice day

Roy;)

Casper and Deanne, Gaston boir une pastice chaque jour

wonderful but almost endless repeat of saying wow to the grace and beauty of the screenies you guys make each time with 2D trees. You guys almost look like old 2D farts like Gaston showing of 2D is still alive I understand fully no complain!:hehe:
I go with progress from the very first minute with even the embryo I start work so to speak:hehe:
Next time give Gaston a pastice and put his wife on a chair nitting:cool:
Deanne your excellent creations find countless times a safe place on my route.
Casper i thought you were leaving for a few days? anyway good to see the screenies coming.

y'all have a wonderful day

Here's a couple from my fictitious route:

This is called "wye pond".

The Field Guardians United headquarters and park. This devoted group of preservationists and nature lovers are working hard to preserve this tiny remaining patch of grassland from being overtaken by farmland and/or suburban sprawl. Yes, I make up stupid little back stories like that. :p

bravo Real4Pete, very nice Bob

the settings is perfect with creek, hilly, dung smell near stables yes very much my liking.

@Bobcass as always good eye for setting. Did you use dmdrake's douglas fir's these are great but almost seems like the Van Gogh effect/little bit blurry I not remember when using them.
Maybe i am totally spoiled with the ST trees and sharpness crispyness of my works over the last 2 years.

have a nice day

Roy:)

Hey Roy thanks for the comment..and yes those are dmdrakes trees..I love them..I just talked to my brother a few minutes ago, and he lives in St. Jo, Missouri..He was telling me all about the terrible floods there are having in the river..Makes a person feel real lucky to be living on dry ground..The poor farmers in that area have lost allot of homesteads, out buildings etc..

Why not just buy up a some acres and create your own park, home, environment instead of not paying your fair share that's what I did when I was 35. You know that 1, One, mature tree converts enough co2 to oxygen for a family of 4 each Year on this planet...I own 400,000 plus. Co2 is tree fertilizer. They eat it, it's food for them...don't mess with my trees food, and you can have all the oxygen you can breath for free.. ie how long could you....would you live without oil or coal..... and how long do you think those sitting on oil reserves could do without oxygen? One shrub for each 100 square mile, or a darn plam tree......gimme a break....Guy.

You're all lucky we don't form OXPEC, (O)xygen e(XP)orting (E)arth (C)itizens, and bring you all to bay...in about 4 minutes or less. Yea, I'll pay $1000.00 bucks for a barrel of oil, and I want $1,000,000.00 bucks to breath my air for a day. And if you ain't got the darn money....and drop dead cause you can't pay...... I'll just take your damm oil, burn it, and feed it to my trees.....

Here's a clue......Don't hold your breath....

Geezo Pete the crap....I hope you didn't learn this in school, cause it just means more money being pissed down the drain in this country to turn everybody into Idiots.

And if you did learn that in School......

Let me add this;

Those that CAN DO, DO. AND those that CAN'T TEACH. What I don't know, It's some twisted form of WHATWETHINKITISREALITY.

From personal experience; I was so filled up, with myself, that my family was going to put me through College....It was so important to my Dad.

Until one day we had a Blizzard and I had to take a short-cut through Faculty Parking to get to class, cause the sidewalks weren't plowed.

And here were these estemed professors, with their Cars parked in front of of a sign.... All rusted out sxit buckets...teaching me about business. Hence it dawned on me, "Those that CAN DO, DO. AND those that CAN'T TEACH." Gimmie a break, teaching business; making Millions and having a rust bucket to show for it."

Clowns...6' kids that have been in School since Kindergarten, teaching about life outside of school, with no experience, from somebody else that never did anything either, but write a damm book......nothing to show for it, none of them. If they knew what REALLY to do they would DO IT.

I dropped out of College the next week.
