Nice shot Bob, you are doing great in my opinion.
May I make a little suggestion of my own? Using textures for moving bodies of water is some times okay (such as maybe in the earlier days of Trainz), but having the water actually move/flow is one of those things that can really help turn your route from a static model into a living world. Now, there are different systems out there for making animated waterfalls, etc., it seems. Sirgibby's payware animated waterfalls are superb (based on what I see in his excellent free demo waterfall), but they are fixed objects, so therefore you pretty much have to model the surronding terrain around the waterfall object. But nevertheless the results can be great.
A really nice and superb kit that I would suggest would by cyberstorm's animated whitewater/rapids/river/waterfall stuff on the DLS. This is an awesome kit that allows you to create very nice animated whitewater rivers, waterfalls, rapids, and what have you. To make rivers, you lay down river "track" that is a translucent white water surface, and then you place animated whitewater segments (found in the Trackside menu) on that river track, and there you go. There are also seperate waterfalls and rapids in this kit fount in the Objects menu that are tiltable (i. e. you can adjust the angle of the flow) (at least with the rapids; I do not remember if the waterfalls support tilting) to add to the kit's flexibility. So search under the username cyberstorm or his User ID, 78193, on the DLS, and grab any thing related to rapids, waterfalls, rivers, etc. that you see. Do not forget to also grab his "whitewater demo" route (<kuid:78193:991158>), as this is a valuable demonstration of his to demonstrate his whitewater system; turn to it for reference and inspiration for your own routes.
Just as a second (opional) suggestion: Go to this lionk and download the FMA Instant Grass pack:
http://www.spaintrainzrutas.com/fmasplin.html. Lots of superb grass splines to make your grassy scenes look great when viewing close-up. The splines have level-of-detail that makes them instantly become invisible when you zoom out past a moderate/somewhat short distance (and then pop back in to view when you zoom back in), so they will probably not clog-up your computer when viewing from a distance, but if you are like me and do not care about that "popping" LOD very much, then the FMA instant grass can really make a grassy hillside look cool.

Several different shades and size of grass spline in that pack to match your grass ground textures.
EDIT: Below I have added four screenshots to demonstrate some of this stuff as found on my personal work-in-progress narrow-gauge route. The first three screenshots are of a river created using cyberstorm's system. The red arrows above the river are for each animated whitewater "segment" and are located above the center of each segment. The number of side-by-side arrows for each segment correspond to the speed of that whitewater segment, i. e. one arrow = slow-moving water, two arrows = medium-speed water, three arrows = fast-moving water. The fourth and final screenshot shows a hillside (to the right) covered with FMA instant grass splines. Click a thumbnail to view the image full size (and these are the full 1024 x 768 pixels dimensions, but are all less than 150 KB in size).
Hope this helps Bob, and keep up the great screenshots like this latest one!
Regards.
