LARS Question.

I'm building an intermodal facility using ProtoLARS tracks. Most of the rolling stock I'm using are the TTX_Econo_A, TTX_Econo_B, and TTX_Econo_C, all found on the DLS. I chose these because they can accept double stacked 40ft containers.

My problem is, is that the ProtoLARS track isn't loading the containers doublestacked, it's only loading a single container per car. I notice that in the properties for the cars that there are two different loading configurations for 40ft containers on these cars, one with a Max Quantity of 1, and one with a Max Quantity of 2 (double stacked). However LARS keeps using the Max Quantity of 1 configuration and only putting one containers on each car.

Any way for me to solve this?

Thanks in advance!

It's all i the configuration of the well car.
As you see, i use the TTX Well 1, but it should be similar to the Econos

Good luck

Lars

Hi Zakk and Lars --

I never had much luck double stacking those particular articulated well cars.

What will work, however, is the non-artic TTX, kuid 164988:30066

To get these to double stack:

TTX_01.jpg

Click on the " x " so that it wll not load just a single container.

TTX_02.jpg

The end result should be:

TTX_03.jpg

In the foreground I've used my LARS track, kuid
69871:10001, which can be configured to load the 43ft YML containers as shown (use the same process as above for double stack); in the background the standard LARS track to double stack 40 footers.

If you really DO want to use articulated well cars, the only ones I've managed to get to work reasonable well are shown here:

If it works for LARS it should also work with ProtoLARS. Can you confirm that it does?

Phil, that is a great idea, much easier than what I ended up doing. I just ended up cloning the cars, editing the Config.TXT of each of them and just removing load0 so that there was no single stacked 40ft container configuration. Your method would have been much easier/more convenient though.

Thank you for your help!
