That is probably K&L's best work so far, infact, when I saw it on the Illinois Railway Museum thread, I literally said it was the best thing I've ever seenOMG Steve! I Love what you've got done so far!

The 2-8-2T MIGHT be a USATC product but that's lesser known, like the USSR 4-14-4 locomotive that only ran ONCE and that was itIt can't be a 0-6-0T because its a 2-8-2T!
I have to agree, I've seen many american 2-8-2Ts in my Books. Plus America was really the only country to have saddle tank engines other than Britain.
I wrote them about restoring it years ago. It really is the perfect engine for their operations, seeing how it is a double ender, paired with their High Iron Co water tender it could serve well on runs designed for 3254/3737, and on runs like 26, but it needs a HEAVY boiler overhaul, that was why it was retired in 1961/2, as it lacked all records of maintenance and certification. I would truly LOVE to see 47 steam, however. From what I heard, according to Steamtown, Canadian National 47 COULD be restored to operation, but they don't know what they should do with it, maybe they will give it a water tender, or just put it on the same assignments as Baldwin #26
That engine is AMAZING, K&L at it's finest[/IMG]![]()
