Cannot believe he died thirty years ago. Seems like yesterday...

Hold Alt whilst typing <lucyinthesky>

Works for TRS2004.

May be different for other versions. I’m sure others will advise.

If you get a chance, get the Beatles album, Sgt Pepper, it says it all of that time, was in my youth then, had a great time in the Military listening to their tracks.

Will someone from the US explain to me your countrys' fascination for John Lennon. I think it's fair to say that most British people, apart from Liverpudlians, are indifferent to him.
As far as I can remember, after the peak of the Beatles era, he spent most of his time in a drugged up stupor in bed with Yoko Ono, he was a UK tax exile also. Occasionally he'd write a rubbish song.
I've no doubt that some people will strongly disagree with this view.

You are entitled to your opinion but as you quite rightly point out 'some people will strongly disagree with this view'

I'm an exception to the rule here. :)

I agree there's nothing spectacular about the Beatles or John Lennon for that matter. I grew up in the period and all I remember is people laying about on the sidewalks bomb out of their gourds.

John

Yoko should be doing LIFE IN PRISON for murdering Johnny B. Goode and violent acts perpetrated on Memphis, Tennessee.

Did Chuck Berry get 3 months for assault on a perfectly good Gibson ES553TDC (although they look like Epiphone pickups, not humbucklers).

If his tone ever sounded like Yoko trying to sing, he should get hard time on the rock pile............LOL :hehe: Even through the worst solid state amp on full distortion and cranked full on the bridge pick up, he couldn't come close. Even so, I believe his guitar would have to press charges.

I somewhat agree with this. I liked the Beatles when I was much younger, but I couldn't get into any of their solo careers, with the exception of George. There was nothing phony or pretentious about him.

John just seemed like an angry and bitter guy.

John

Hey John, I lived next to Haverhill....isn't it still kind of like that?

Yes, at the height of the Beatles era they churned out some great songs and certainly changed the 'pop' world forever. Towards the end of the Beatles they became introverted individuals, wanting to explore there own thoughts and ways, particularly John and Paul. Unfortunately it ended in tragedy for John when he was shot. As individuals they never achieved the fame of the Beatles and became extremely boring. Other talented people were emerging, for me it was Syd Barrett and Pink Floyd but, then again, they didn't last forever.

What has all this got to do with a train simulation forum? I ask myself
