Interesting loads

Those Russian tank cars. Try here:

http://railroadsim.net

The site can be a bit flaky and for us non-Russian speakers a bit hard to navigate.

There are several variants of the cars:

I think I might have got these wonderfully weathered locomotives there too:

Tell me if your search is unsuccessful. If it is I'll see what I can find.

Thanks for the tip, Phil

What I did was use Google Translate which rendered everything into English, flawlessly.

What I suggest others do is google railroadsim

and where you find railroadsim.net in the results, select "Translate this page"

and presto, every page is translated...

:D

Hi shahichirag --

I know those tank cars are on that site. Just search around and you will find them.

I don't think that the locomotives are there though.

Give me a while and I will see if I can find them. I'll get back later.

Phil

Thanks Phil for your time and reply, I have already downlaoded the tank cars they are really good, it is the locos I'll will also try an hunt for the same.

I have a suspicion about those tanks.

I made up an 18 car set 18/1920 tons and ran it around the Black Forest layout. Fine, although they are mighty heavy tanks.

Every time I bail the independent, the brake pipe leaks off and the whole thing rolls. Anyone else experienced this?

EDIT:

I think its the locomotives, the CNR Boxcabs. For some reason the brake pipe leaks off completely on these locos.

If it helps anybody searching to the ends of the Universe for these elusive Russian locomotives, they are:
2M62U
2TE10 and
2TE10V

The authors are:
Vlasyuk Roma for the first and
Alex Efremov aka AlexEf for the last two.

The last known address was:
http://personal.lybex.ru/fantom and
ae.vodolej-ltd.ru

Good hunting,
Phil

OK -- I've had no success.

The license only has one word, "Freeware", so I've posted the three locomotives here:

http://www.users.on.net/~pskene/RussianDieselLocos.zip

Unzip then install.

Hmm --

You're absolute correct.

The real kuid is [FONT=Verdana, Arial]67761:100000 onwards.

Sorry guys - I can't understand how I was so wrong.

You might also like to look at kuid 58377:15801. It's slightly smaller version.

Don't be put off by the number of components in these vehicles. The effort of downloading and assembling is well worth while.

The other item of rolling stock that everyone should have is the oversize plate carrier, kuid

Unloaded it looks like this:

The first animation when loading plate steel involves the supporting arms moving outwards:

The plates load:

And the whole assembly rotates to bring the load within gauge:

Would anybody be interested in a session using this freight car?
