TRS22 default loading images

Just wondering. Can the default loading image in TRS22 be replaced with another image? Even a blank one?

The light at the top right that is part of the roundhouse image triggers me every time it loads, due to it being a bit of disturbance. This is not a request for slander by the way. So keep it out of the thread please. Individual preferences are just that.

Occasionally it's blocked off by a locomotive. But it's still unnecessary. Is there some jpeg, or cfg file that can eliminate it?

It is discomforting, personally.

Cheers.

Can the default loading image in TRS22 be replaced with another image?

I have succeeded in editing the image shown on the launcher to add the label "Beta Stream" to distinguish it from the normal retail version when I am testing beta versions. But this edit does not carry over to the full screen image of the roundhouse that is briefly displayed after clicking the "Start Trainz" button on the launcher. Because that image shows the locos in a different order on each load then it is something more than a simple image.

There are 9 alternating images, I managed to change only to a TANE or TRS19 loading background, which contantly and never changes.

This is TANE loading background on TRS22:

I was referring to the image of the roundhouse that shows when one has selected a route to load. Not necessarily the launch screen of the game itself. Is there a way to override the image?

I didn't quite understand what it was about.

I had these images (one of the 9 alternating):

I replaced it with this one (constantly instead of 9 alternating):

Fair enough. But I wouldn't have any idea of which format to export the image in, and where to place it. I'm still learning TRS. Only been using it for a bit over a year, unlike Railworks which I used for many years prior.

Is there a specific folder to place it in?

The load screen files cannot be changed or replaced by any other files. These files have protection, so I wrote above that it can be replaced with files with similar protection, i.e. from TS19 or TANE.

9 files with endings from trs22a to trs22i, this is located in the folder: Trainz Railroad Simulator 2022\resources\builtin\base\content\kuid 30501 130014

You could create an updated version <kuid2:30501:130014:1>, replacing the textures with something more pleasing. Thex textures of the original <kuid:30501:130014> could be unpacked using PEV's Images2TGA.

This method doesn't work for me. I did it as described, but for some reason the splash screen is not visible because it is transparent.

Code:
kind                                    "texture-group"
username                                "Loading Screen"
trainz-build                            4.5
category-class                          "JO"
username-de                             "Ladebildschirm"
username-fr                             "Écran de chargement"
username-pl                             "Ekran ładowania"
username-es                             "Cargando Imagen"

textures
{
  0                                     "2020.texture"
}

thumbnails
{
}
kuid                                    <kuid2:30501:130014:1>

kuid-table
{
}
Code:
Primary=2020.tga
Tile=none
AlphaHint=opaque

Does your tga file have an alpha channel?
No.

I've already tried a bunch of Possibilities. I have a suspicion that this cannot be replaced with any third-party image.
If someone managed to replace the download loading images with any other image, then write in detail how to do it. I would be extremely grateful.

- in Content Manager: "Open -> Show in Explorer" <kuid:30501:130014>
- Copy the opened folder to some working space (Desktop), and "Revert Unsubmitted" <kuid:30501:130014>
- in the copied folder: unpack all .texture files using PEV's Images2TGA (to .texture.txt and .tga)
- remove the the .texture files (after unpacking)
- some pictures have to be resized (to match the power of 2 requirement) (the trs22 ones and the _portrait one)
- replace any picture not pleasing you
-- by another picture using the same name or
-- by changing the Primary= entry in the .texture.txt file
- in the config.txt change the kuid to <kuid2:30501:130014:1>
- import the folder containing the modifications

Unfortunately I can't find anything matching the KUID in the T22 content manager.
