Installing Settle and Carlisle into TS12 and TS2010

I am looking for clarification on installing S & C.

I have both TS2010 (build 49933) and TS12 (build 49922 with TS2010 built in content included) on my system but when I run the S & C installer there is no browse facility to choose the destination folder to direct it to install into TS12 or TS2010. It defaults to TS12 as the destination and does not have a method of changing this to the TS2010 location.

I have read on the forum that there is a service pack for S & C and I have downloaded the TS2010 version of this (snc_40836_to_41903). It says on the forum that this patch for 2010 should be applied before copying the S & C .ja file in 2010 over to TS12.

Questions?

1) If I allow the installer to load S & C into TS12, is the snc_40836_to_41903 patch still required and is it suitable for TS12?

2) How can I get the installer to load S & C into TS2010 so that I can run the patch and use it with TS2010 or TS12 as I choose?

3) As you can see above, the build numbers of both my TS2010 and TS12 installations are higher than the build number of the S & C patch. Should this patch still be used in both TS2010 and TS12 even although the build number of the patch is lower?

I've just installed S&C directly into TS12 then ran the patch. It appeared to be quite happy about the version and appears to have updated the content. So the updater appears to update the content and update the TS2010 if the version is lower than the patch.

Thanks John,

I let it install into TS12 and ran the patch. Seems OK but I have still to fully examine the results but at least one session is working.

I now have to figure out a way of incorporating into TS2010, but at the moment I am running an EDR.
