Import to Surveyor

I am working through a signalling tutorial and require ' sig t feather ...'
This does not show up in Surveyor under trackmarks etc but Content Manager shows it as local.
Using Content Manager is a mystery to me, how do I import to Surveyor?
I also cannot find any info on operating Content Manager, any pointers?

Now cruising the ECML unhindered;)

Just go to content manager, bring up the item on the list , right click to bring up the menu, go down to edit and on that menu click on commit. Or you can just bring up the item and hit ctrl M. I had the same problem when I first got trainz 2006. If you want to you can also click on settings near the top of content manager and then go to miscellaneous and underneith where it says "when launching trainz" select automatically commit and then save. This is what I did and now anything I download from there commits on its own when I exit the content manager and shows up in surveyor. Hope this helps.

If you don't have CMP set up to automatically commit kuids when you download them, you'll have to manually commit them.

Manual Commit - Start CMP and select the Open for Edit tab along the top, then if anything is there, right click and pick 'select all' then press Ctrl M.
or
Automatic Commit - Start CMP and select File - Settings - Miscellaneous and check 'Automatically commit when installing CDPs'

Thanks, your replies are pretty clear.
I see content in the routes that come with 2010ee which would be useful in the route I am making.
Using the Content Manager to identify it I then find it is built-in content. Is there a method to import these to Surveyor?

All builtin items are automatically commited during the initial installation of Trainz. All downloaded items will be automatically commited if you'll set the option in File - Settings - Miscellaneous. All you have to do to use them in Surveyor is to make sure none of your downloaded items have errors or missing dependencies. Use CMP to check and fix as required.
