I am back...........
Hi all, first to thank you for the nice words when I left :hehe:
I came home last night with heaps of digital pictures and new ideas of what to build for TRS04 and TRS09. When visiting Mackay there in Qland I went to Haypoint where one of the largest port coal loading facilities in Queensland are. This is a mindboggling array of hopper unloading, conveyor belt loaders, port facilities and jetties etc. Incidently, there where 24 or so coal transport ships waiting in the bay to be loaded, such is the worldwide demand for our coal. I heard something similar is happening in Gladstone too.
Recreating such a coal loading facility for TRS would indeed be a challenge, perhaps one day....
Plus I gathered a lot of ideas for interesting buildings, shops, unique pubs (like the "Wobbly Boot" Hotel and others) and other stuff which is only visible up there in sunny Queensland.
The trip itself was uneventful, meaning no mishaps or mechanical issues eventuated. Exception being, I drive a Ford Territory AWD station, one of the electric windows choose to stay open and refused to being shut. After undoing the doortrim panel and propping a stick of timber under it to keep it shut permanently for the time being until I replace its winder motor I went on my merry way again. Ahh.......... the wonders of modern technology
Its good to be home again and starting up my trusty 3DS Max and continue where I left off last.
@Noel, sure, bring on your requests, I will see how I can fit them into my schedule :hehe:
Thanks again for your kind words when I left 3 weeks ago
Cheers
