Has anyone else noticed?

Friends, I'm wondering if my internet connection is working properly. Compared with the cacophony of complaints and bug reports after the releases of the hotfixes and SP in TS 12, Th number of threads I see complaining about T:ANE is miniscule.

Congratulations, N3V.

Hi,

I think that N3V has beaten us all into submission. All the old timers know it will be of no avail to bombard the website, we have seen it all before. Having said that I see you have posted a few times there.

Dave

Well, constructive criticism should always be welcome, I would think, but "THIS IS THE WORST GAME EVER" screamed endlessly will probably achieve little! But it is important to not let the big issues (such as content modification rights) drop. Persistence pays off, but we attract more with honey than with...

Something I have noticed is that some users are unhappy regarding faulty content. If they would just give creators chance to sort out the content then it would make things easier (and I'm hoping to set up an Asset Repair guide for T:ANE anyway).

Another thing I've noticed is that there are a few users with under-requirement systems that are complaining that the game doesn't work. My answer to that is that they should have checked the minimum requirements first.

One other thing - those who are complaining about it losing their settings need to check that the game has sufficient permissions to save to the location where they want the userdata to go.

Shane,

I have i7-4810, 2,8GHz, 16 RAM, Nvidia 870M 6GB, with a 500GB SSD, with an external 24" monitor . I am not complaining about how the game runs on my system, it is the things the game decides it needs to do, IE lose settings, database repairs, locking up, repairs to content et al. I just do not have the time to fix all the stuff yet again. You and I have posted before to each other and I do not express my opinion maliciously, as I said in my original post, I will wait and see you guys on the other side.

Regards,

Dave

I know what you mean although it's still early days in terms of the release version and most content creators usually have a lot to deal with. As for the losing settings, I would strongly suggest checking your permissions (including running as administrator if needed).

Shane,

Thanks for the suggestions, but I have made my decision based on the trial I did, I will probably be talking with you in a year or so when this is sorted out as I do like the look of the game, just not the way it performs. Well when I say the looks, I do not mean the horrible GUI and CM, sorry. Like I say.. see you later.

Regards,

Dave

I haven't had much time to play but I have not had many problems with TANE. THere were a few built in assets missing dependencies but I fixed them myself rather easily. CM has momentarily locked up on me while performing a task but if I wait 10-15 seconds it clears up. My biggest issue is the sluggish performance which is most likely due to my Radeon R9 270X card not being able to keep up. I will be getting a GTX 970 or 980 in the near future which hopefully clears that up. I think everyone needs to just chill out for awhile and play around with what you got and leave it to the guys to sort out as they can.

Other than the usual content importing issues, I can't complain either about the release. CM does, and I've said this before, needs a lot of work on the interface. It has some nice features, but it's not very intuitive and some things are difficult to see.

Regarding the lost credentials. I found that if T:ANE was closed unexpectedly via Task Manager, it will do this after its database repair, which also loses other user settings as well.
