guide for trainz 2009

I downloaded Trainz 2009 wbe.Is there a book or complete manual on how to operate and use each feature. ? A lot of the instructions for each sim is not in english. Thanks golden01
 
The front page gives you access to the manual, but it's the same manual as for 2006, so will not cover every feature of 2009. I don't know why. I have to assume the creators of 2009 didn't care too much about the release product.:(
 
WBE is only one part of TRS2009. Essentially it was released for people with a good knowledge of TRS to build objects (assets) for the final release. As such a manual at this point of time would be premature because these people already know the program inside out. If you're just using TRS2009 as a Simulator and/or building assets and routes the normal way, the TRS2006 manual covers everything you really need to know. When Part two is released, I'm sure a full manual will be included.

Hahaha..... which people? You must be kidding, it is like the blind leading the blind at the moment with apologies to the "visually challenged" :hehe:

At the moment we as content creators are still trying to find out the "How, where, what etc." of creating for TRS09. It is OK to create simple items but try to create a good looking tree, a bridge, a tunnel and other objects for TRS09 as the information of implementing this is still missing or only partly available for native mode of TRS09. AURAN only gave us so far 3 items to look at, the UP SD40-2, a dismal tree and the new station. Any other info is either missing, scattered all over a Wiki one needs to be online to jump all over some pages to get an idea of what is needed to create to study and where to read up on certain items and topics. Or log into the Dev forum to ask questions there which might or might not be answered proper by the powers that be.

I personally like a guide I can print out like the Content Creating Guides for TRS04/06/TC, where I can read and look up items I want to know in an orderly fashion with my finger between the pages of one topic while I read and study another topic needed as well for what I want to create while cross referencing something else needed for it in another section of the guide.

For me personally at the moment it is only trying to find out certain things myself by testing various different ways to get normal mapping, reflection, specular, opaquity etc. to work in native mode as the bar of creating in native mode has been raised so high in an instance, it might be difficult for a lot of current creators to create proper items for TRS09 native mode until good and sensible information is available. This is where we need plenty of informations and input from the developers of TRS09 as they know (I hope :hehe: ) of how this is supposed to work.

Just check the various postings of very good content creators here in the various foras (forums) trying to get to grips with the "new" way of creating.
