Open the Track Window. Open Advanced. Bottom button LH side. Vertex Height. Click and place your cursor on the point you want. Left Click and read the height in the window next to the button. If you want grade percent get the height and divide by the length. This gives you grade percent.
No need for math, just click the left grade button (next one up) and then click on the track and it will give you the grade in percent. This is all very well spelled out in the manual.
