GMax and 3DSMax (And any other modeling program) screenies/renders

Looking good Peter, I am sure there are many people who are looking forward to using these Highliners.

Is there a chance we can see these in the ICG scheme?

I wonder would it look better with the textures......'baked'? For you know....to make it realistic as like all the other trainz transits out there. But on the other hand, this is really amazing that from a photo to Photoshop to make it into a texture!

And Matt does have a point. Bet we are SO looking forward to this.

did you know there's a thing called a "WIP." It stands for "Work In Progress"

on a better note

I think it looks pretty good so far, awesome job on it Peter.

Cheers,
SM

Well Said Leo...... People need to learn to be patient. Not being patient is a good way to irritate a Content Creator.

On the other hand, most 3D modelling programs have active AO rendering options, so it's no big deal to have a model appear baked even before it's mapped. Mind you, I'm not sure whether Maya does this, but given it's a lot more expensive than Blender it should.

Have almost finished the modelling for the exterior model :) Still a few bits to add, and a couple of adjustments, and I can then make a start on mapping this beastie! :)

Also a quick render showing the 'outside' model's cab, which includes a relatively detailed model of the cab, made necessary by the very large windows!

That Consolidation is looking very nice. My gimme pig never noticed how much it looked like the 2-8-0 on the Moscow, Camden & San Augustine, #6 which was one of the last steam engines in mixed freight and passenger service in America (until 1965). You mentioned possibly an American version, might she be one version (she has an old style headlight, Baldwin cab, etc. just like this one,) though an oil burning tender and a bell between the similar to this VR chimney and the first dome.

G'day S301,

...I think you may have outdone yourself, this time, Zec...

...I am wondering if that wonderfully modelled wheel jack 'thingy' ought not be added to the list of those things of VR origin that may be added to a locomotive by way of attachment points?...
