Cheers Mick.:)

I don't see why I wouldn't release these, I finally got what I wanted to happen the first 2 tries out of this model!
I find your lack of Caltrain disturbing ;) sorry that one was a little early.
nonetheless as an avid Metra fan they look amazing, any chance you'd be willing to cannibalize them for the Metra Electric District and NICTD EMU's?

Here's something I did for a school assignment to create a toy train. I could've just stuck to a simple box and cyclinder but went all ambitious on it as usual and so spent four days struggling with 3ds Max learning from scratch with Lynda and Youtube videos. (also, trains!)

From an accuracy point of view, the model is quite sh1t compared to, for example, JR's SD40-2 mesh. It's also missing alot of stuff like steps and MU hoses and cab interior. And yet, on submission I had this great sense of achievement. But maybe that's also because of the SD40's lovely, timeless appearance.

It's unlikely that I will continue doing such things in the near future, possibly smaller things like custom structures and buildings for my route those are much more workable. After this I'm in much greater respect and awe of people like Justin, Joe, Dave and Frank and the immense amount of work that they put in to make our hobby so much better each day.

That looks great Nicky! Just spend a little more time with details on that beast, learn animation and animate the trucks, then export it.
