GMax and 3DSMax (And any other modeling program) screenies/renders

A few new things I've started on to break up pulling my hair out over the SP1 issues with my older content...

SPMW Diffco ballast car.

And....

Santa Fe F45.

The ballast car is actually in game now, but I need to finish the LOD models and work on a few things before it's ready for beta testing. The F45 is waaaaaay far off. :)

Oh, and my SP SD9 is in game now and functional. So progress has been made there too.

Regards,
MSP

Also a possible F40c? :udrool:
If not, that's ok. But F45's are cool too :D

WEEK 2, NO WATER. THIS IS THE END OF ME. :hehe:

But anyways, this has been being re-built from scratch for a while now so nobody get their hopes up on the old model.

How about, Thank God, an AC6000CW! I had the beginnings of my own laid out, looks like I won't have to finish it now. Awesome model, can't wait to see it finished!

Still mapping...... and I used the old Chessie map from an Alpha version of the hood. Oops!

Hoods are configured as loads. Much like at a real steel mill, you'll be able to put whatever hoods on whatever cars you want. :hehe:

Just revisiting my old stuff..... I was pretty proud of my 42' corrugated mill gondola. It was my first creation that I made entirely on my own (except that brake wheel. I still can't do that kind of stuff!) It turned out pretty good!

I've learned a lot about 3ds Max since then, and I revisited it this afternoon and tweaked a lot of stuff that looked downright primitive. I never really felt it with the boxy side braces, and I fixed a few things that didn't quite line up right. I've also added the undercarriage (for the weird people that really need to see that sort of thing). Remapping it is in the works too. Expect to see more of these guys after I finish the coil car.

Hello!

Actually I 'only' wanted to make a tutorial ( http://forums.auran.com/trainz/blog.php?176616-Mick-s-Workshop ) about projection rendering, but the further the work on this tutorial goes on, the more I like the model itself. It is a stationary steam boiler, like it was used in many smaller factories around 100-150 years ago.

But see for yourself:

Mick!

AWESOME boiler, Mick! And I haven't had a chance to read it yet, but I went to look at your tutorial: Very detailed, and I have been wanting to learn about projection mapping. Can't wait to try some of this out! Thanks!

Titania!

Built 1855 Thames Engineering for the Geelong Melbourne Railway Company "GMRC", this was later converted to 0-6-0WT in 1870s and lasted till early 1900s.

Cheers.

Nice Victorian era locomotive. I love the 19th century, and their locomotives.

This locomotive isn't from the 19th century, but it's 17 years off.
