FWD: Shays: Drive-shaft to Wheel Ratio

What is the ratio of a shay's drive-shaft rotation to its wheel rotation? In other words, how many times do the wheels turn for each rotation of the drive-shaft and vice-versa.

And what about with climaxes and heislers? Are the ratios the same as shays or different?

Unfortunately i do not know any specs specificly, however, I do know that based on the ratio of torq and speed, different models and builds may have different gear ratios and thus different speeds. In short, there may be several or even hundreds of answers, anyone care to step in? I would like to know a little more about this myself.

www.shaylocomotives.com gives gearing ratio for each shay locomotive ever made.

Most typical logging geared locos were around 2:1 usually.

Since most typical logging locos only used a pinon and spur system, gear ratios and rotational speeds are relatively easy to figure out.
