Fog and Google Earth

It's snowy here.
Hey Trainzers! I have 2 questions I was hoping someone could help me with!

#1 How do I get there to be a large fog effect? Like covering the map almost. There is a picture of a CSX intermodel somewhere in here that won the Screenshot Contest that had a monster fog effect!

#2 How do I lay a google earth Image on my baseboards? I've seen it done, I just am confused on how to do it!

Any help is Apreciated!

i know i would love to know how to do #2 also #1 was turn bad weather fog effect all the way up and particle system all the way down and make it rain really hard
 
Thank you Both I have gotten the baseboards but Dylan, where do I find the tab to edit the weather settings? I'm using 06 aswell as 09

These instructions are for TRS2006. TRS2009 is probably the same or very similar but I'm not sure.

Load the route in Surveyor.
Click the "Edit Session Rules" button (near top left next to Quick Drive)
Startup Options > Edit
Click the word "Clear" (or whatever the weather is now) and select what you want.
(The same goes for the other options here - experiment if you wish)

The weather applies everywhere but it can change with time. There is probably a Rule which will enable you to change the weather as your train enters triggers or junctions. I'm not familiar with Rules but Trainz' underlying programming language can certainly do that sort of thing.

I know how to edit the weather Jon, I mean how to get the fog. All I can find is that tab that says weather, It gives me options. But I can't find were the Fog is.

Fog is a property of weather.

But in addition, in the in-game quality vs performance settings there are sliders for good weather fog and bad weather fog.

Hi,

Besides the in-game settings, & various "mysts" available (like for waterfalls etc), there is also one in a foreign language (European I think), that blankets a whole board in a ground-hugging blanket of fog. I'll try & find it for you.:wave:
 
Thank you Noel that would be very helpfull, I have found the tab I'm looking for but this one you speak of seems perfect! If you find anything please let me know?
