For those who live in Tampa, and St Petersburg's, and have to drive to Orlando -- I've done it a few tiems, to go to the airport or around town, and it's a pain in the butt, so this can serve all of us in many ways!

Sweet! That means getting to concerts in Orlando without fighting over who has to be the designated driver.

Florida can think for its future...

 Hurrah!

Florida is suffering a $6B shortfall in the state budget & many n.i.m.b.y. complainers, however the state legislature has always been friendly with accommodating tourism & this rail venture will help commuters travel better & "greener" than before.

Kudos for the "Bikini State!"

Man,it is about time they made this move, the rail line can help free up the bottleneck that happens everyday on our interstates and city streets!

This is great! I can visit my Aunt in St. Cloud, FL without needing to take a dern car... 2 weeks ago Interstate 4 was crowded -- and guess what? It was in the rural portion between Lakeland and Celebration!

Sunrail and Trirail will never pay for itself. It will be a welfare case for the rest of us to pay for the locals trip to the Mall. The railroads gave up passenger service long ago. Public transportation is necessary. I still don't like paying for someone's bus fare.

Edit: A scheme somewhat like our Interstate Highway, taking some ideas from it and reapply to our shakey Amtrak system. Now everybody pays like in Europe. However we have greater distances to service than they.

Keep Florida green - bring money.

Been talk of Amtrack extending passenger service to Miami via the Florida East Coast tracks. Be great if they did.
