failing patches

Hi All,
I installed the DUTCH version of Trainz Sim 2010 EE . The O.S. on my PC is Vista32 version UK.All text in Trainz (tutorials,menus etc) is in English. The problem is that when I try to install patch 41491 (SP1) I get the installer error message :
"This patch file is not applicable to your current installation version.
(Build hash: e21c349495dfbb17b442af851e5eb7a5)
No valid patch operation was specified. Patching aborted.".

After trying to install 43534, which is one of the patches for the international releases, I get the answer :
"This patch file is not applicable to your current installation version.
No valid patch operation was specified. Patching aborted.".
Any idea how to implement patches to my setup?

Welcome to the Trainz forums.

What is the base version of your install? (Shows up on the Launcher Screen in the right corner). You may not need these patches and can go right to SP2 or SP3 instead.

The others here can help sort this out for you too.

Hi John,
patched with 42831 to 43434 (patch for international releases) which was successfull (took about 70 minutes for the patch to complete). Build is now 43434.
Thanks John for the hint concerning the build number ( which did a light go on in my head...).
