Explorer 10 Issue

I am using Windows 7 64 bit. I just recently upgraded to Explorer 10 from Explorer 9.

With this upgrade I found that I lost a lot of editing capability in responding to posts. For instance the "Enter" key would no longer start a new line.

To fix this I had to go into the Explorer 10 tools, select the "Compatible View Settings" and then add this web sit to the compatible view list.

Things now work as expected.

Thanks for that tip! I just upgraded to Internet Explorer 10 myself and found that the same undesirable in-forum editing behaviours applied. PC

Yes, Microsoft have released a version of IE10 for Windows 7 32bit and 64bit which is available for immediate, free download now on their website.
In a month or so, it will become available for any registered Win 7 user and pushed out as a "Windows Update" during the next "Patch Tuesday" round.
I recommend this version as it provides full support for HTML5 and CSS 3.0 standards - It is a LOT faster and the UI is even less cluttered than IE9.
As an ISP and web designer, I need to run many different browsers concurrently on my production machine and I find IE10 to be as good - and as pleasant to use - as Google's Chrome in both Win8 and now Win7.
The problem cited above is just a minor glitch and I'm sure we'll find some even better workarounds than simply using the browser in compatibility mode for these forums in the fullness of time.
Indeed, it may well be that the forum developers will update their code to HTML5 and CSS3 standards for the editing windows on the forum application so that it behaves better with modern browsers like IE10.
