Editing and commiting problems

I'm having these problems every time I attempt to edit or commit assets:


Error: Failed to commit changes to asset <kuid2:45317:102595:1> due to file access error

and

Error: File copy error while opening asset <kuid2:51536:9531501:1> for editing

How can I fix this problem?

Are you by chance editing a "locked" DLC content?
That normally happens if you try to edit a DLC Content that is locked by Auran

This can also mean that there's a problem with the database, as in needing a repair, or you have the file open in Surveyor. If Surveyor is not open, then run a database repair and try again as that should fix your problem.

Error: Failed to commit changes to asset <kuid2:45317:102595:1> due to file access error

Occasionally occurs on TS12 as well. I have found that closing CM and then restarting it, click the Open for Edit tab/Menu, select the asset(s) and commit them again usually resolves the problem.
