To be honest.... Absolutly nothing:hehe: .......this is all parts that came from the DLS, that are just thrown together to look like this.....

Monorail

I found a picture of the crew that detailed the new MARKVII monorails for disneyland:

The builders pose with their completed monorail red...... monorail blue sits patiently wait for its turn

Thanks for the tips, ill give it a try. Keep in mind the station is a little larger than that..... In addition, it is the original New Orlean Sq depot, but it was left there for scenery when the tracks where pulled up an moved....... (they were on the outside of the depot)

Ok, Its Bragging Time........
with much consideration and thought (and a lack of resources) I have figured out a quite odd way to play station announcements on Q in a different area of the route
Screen_313.jpg

The switches use the station announcements as a sound instead of the usual "cah-chunk" we are used to....... so that when A train runs over a specific trigger, the invisible switch lever will be thrown, and wa-la! instant locational speakers!!

any thoughts?

Neat idea. Although I believe you can set up station announcements to play by using the built-in track trigger (in with the track direction markers) how; I do not know. But I believe it is possible.

It is possible, but the scripting that you use to make it occur is very tough to find and manipulate, (if you want the actual bulding asset to play it on q)...if your taking about a track trigger playing it, ive thought about it and i want it to play at the station, as the engine is comming out of the tunnel(which is not very close.......sooooo ive thought this would be an appropriate sollution to my inexperience

However, I am looking for a script that I can add to a train, and have it play a sound, when it runs over a specific trigger name

Ok, Lately I have had alot on my mind, but Im going to toss an Idea out here..... The disneyland monorail in LA california is a 2.5 mile long monorail system that has two stops, one in Tomorrowland, the other in Downtown disney. However, it fails to have a stop in California Adventure (the other of the two parks residing on this land)....... So this is my challenge ( i figure i should get it started now)

Design and model a monorail station for California adventure using pre-exsisting parts from the DLS (aka Kit-bashing) based on one of the themed locations boardering the monorail track [ ie: Condor flats, Hollywood Backlot, The Golden State, and etc] Anyone is allowed to participate in the build. the only requirements (as of now) are:
-the station must fit a five car monorail train consisting of a cab-three cars-and a cab
-it must have pedestrian access [ie a path or set of stairs leading to the platform]
-it must fit within the designated area of its theme
-{reserved for future rules}

This challenge is for pure fun, but the station voted to be the winner [there will be another thread for the voting on the forum] will be inclueded in the fantasy version of the disneyland route (a fictionaly modified park, with rides from all eras of the park)..... Others may request that their stations be put into personal variations of the route.

The challenge will come to an end at August 31 2009 at 12:00 GMT at which point a designated thread will be created for creators to post a few pictures of their work, along with a discription. the voting will take place the following week after all posts have been made.

please keep in mind this is purely for fun and should not be taken in offense. I would like to use this challenge as a way for disney fans to exhibit their work.

Feel free to post progress shots on this thread (if desired), and have fun

All members wishing to participate, It would be helpfull to identify yourselves so that I may prepare ahead of time for the voting
Thank you,

I wish I knew how to make content for that one. My recommendation is to start a new thread right now for the contest so that it draws its own attention.

Concerning the announcement: Brilliant! May we see some video of it in action? :udrool:

Well, I'll see, so far fraps has been giving me trouble. But as soon I fix it I plan on making a major debuet movie to show case the route ( pictures dont really demonstrate the grandness of this route) how ever, I have been working on creating some equipment for the dlrr, and I am hoping complete the items before creating a video, it would be empty without them:wave: :hehe:
