Disneyland, California Adventure route (warning large # of pics)

Hey Disneyland is a blast but I think the one in Florida is laid out a lot better. I was in Florida back in September and will be going again this September. You can almost forget about the rest of the world when you're there because the property is so large.
Walt had Florida right. The problem now is that people are more worried about money instead of environmental impact and convenience. If they were to expand the monorail system to go to all hotels, themeparks, and waterparks, then I suspect that their diesel fuel bill would be reduced by at least 80%. Biased opinion or not, if Disney got rid of the buses for monorails, they would eliminate excessive fuel bills (the buses only get about 4 MPG) and pollution. The monorails run on electricity so there is no pollution.

I have to agree with you. Plus it will reduce the amount of traffic and parking your car and finding it problems which we had to face when I went there back in March during Spring Break. :o :( :)

The monorails obviously have to rely on a power source to get their electricity. So if they're operating a coal fired power plant, then obviously there is some pollution involved. So maybe it's not a 100% perfect system, but in my opinion, I would rather have a little coal plant pollution than excessive diesel pollution on a daily basis. It's a LOT cleaner with the monorail.

HAHA yup,

I got bored the other day and was fiddling with screen shots, so here are some fun little advertisements:

Im probably going to add them to the first post to make this thread look better

Gmax

Well, ive got the Gmax bug... and im trying to "learn on the job" as i try to create some objects, i'd take some screenshots of my attempts so far, but honestly i have no clue how.....

Any help?

thanks

sorry about the lack of progress shots so far, ive been working with Gmax to try and design the coaches for the disneyland RR.... so far the look ok, but they are not ready quite yet for a beauty shot:hehe:

here is some shots of my work on the monorail signal system.....

monorail blue slips into the new TL station..

The rear signal.

the signal control switch
ill explain in the next box:wave:

So im trying to design a signal system that works with the monorail operator. What ive come up with is a signal that identifies whether the train is finnished loading and ready to procede.

the way it works is that the monorail moves into the station and trips a trigger that turns on the signal system. the monorail then goes through the normal load proccess, then when the loading is finnished, the signals on the platform turn green (idicating that all cast members are cloear of the vehicle and they may procceed).

i used the ATLS sytem to work it,

so whats your opinions?

good day:wave: ,

I'm starting to get the hang of gmax, so far ive started one coach,... but its looking pretty good....... in a week or two it should be ready to texture

looking good. I'd take a look at MCQ's U7 layout on the DLS. he has signals that tell you when the train is ready to depart from the station.
