Deleting A Message?

I wnat to delete a message but erasing everything and submitted didn't work.

Go to the message (it obviously must be yours )
Click the Edit link
Highlight and delete the original message
Replace it with some text message (e.g. "Deleted") - you cannot leave it blank.

I find I can blank recently typed, but not submitted messages, by clicking on the Drafts icon on the right and then clicking on delete draft after deleting my text from my message. Once the message is submitted, you need to edit the message and put in === Deleted === or something similar.

OK, I was under the impression that a blank message would mean delete. But a few "Deleted" will do the same.

Note that moderators and admins will always be able to read the post in any of its previous content.

Thanks for info. Sometimes it is quite easy to over react when months of work are in jeopardy.
