Don't make everything simple it would make the model a low quality
I know I am new, but I have heard conversations about how dated the USLW 3254 is (including from its creator in my forum exploration)and that a new version is being planed as the old one is somewhat poor by today's standards, so I wouldn't use it as a perfect guide. If you are going to make 2816, make her proud, and make her beauty shine.

ATTENTION:

Project 2816's release date will be moved to February 28th.

Still need to make her look nice and ready to roll.

Meanwhile, I need some help.

1. How do I place the bogeys on a locomotive?

2. How do I add smoke attachments?

3. Sometimes, whenever I add engine sounds, they don't make the sound. Why?

Whoa, slow down, kiddo.

I'm completely with Steve on this one. I mean, you clearly have work to show, but...it doesn't seem like you'll have this out by the end o' the month.

I'd suggest starting with something smaller, like a house. Or something that's not a complicated steam locomotive.

As said before, Steve can work fast because he's done this shtick before. For someone who's just starting out, you seem awfully ambitious, but you're expecting too much from yourself.

Start with something smaller. Steam locomotives take a lot more time than a few weeks, unless, like i said you've made a lot of them and know how to do it fast, efficiently, and realistically.

Not to mention that you're letting KTrain talk you into making like 50 different locomotives to satisfy his gimme-pig needs. Work on ONE project at a time. I haven't even kept track of how many things i've completed and then forgot about. Working on multiple projects is hard, and even harder if it's your first time around the block.

You've accomplished much more with 3D modelling than i ever will, but that doesn't mean that trying to make a full-fledged steam locomotive should to be your first project.

But hey, if you wanna keep going, go. But don't say that the locomotive is going to be released in 10 days when it's not even half done.

Do you think Mozart began composing symphonies before he had a mastery of music theory and the violin? No. He mastered his instrument, and it became a vessel for which his art flowed through. If he hadn't mastered it, he never would have made his masterpieces. Master your program, make it your vessel. Then you can show us your masterpiece, but only until the prior processes have been dealt with.

All the best,

Well, Chris,

To make things easy (And to other Trainz people (And I'm sorry)), I will release A CPR Auxiliary water tender, Tool Cars, and Passenger Cars.

No, you're missing the point.

First, provide pics of these works or they don't exist.

Second, you're expecting too much from yourself in too short a time. Try building smaller objects, and, as you improve and perfect the art of modelling, move on to something big and complicated like a steam locomotive. Hell, even start with a flatcar, but not a full steamer like the 2816.

Start small, then move on to bigger things.

And again, only take on one project at a time. For god sake, it'll make your life much easier.

You seem to be missing the point.

You need to stop and start from the beginning. Make a single box, texture it and export it and get it imported to the game. If you can't even do that, then you're just wasting your time with making a steam engine which is 10,000,000x more involved than a box.
