Converted HD terrain routes

Can a route converted to HD terrain in Trainz Plus be installed into Trainz PE with new terrain intact? I currently have both versions installed. My PE data directory is 750 gig with multiple picklists. I really do not want to change the data stream in plus to this directory. So my thought is, install base route from PE into Plus, convert to HD, export then install the HD version into PE. Will this work?

Yes, if you check back to the last retail update it would accept HD routes but you can't edit them. If you installed the Plus version of PE then you can Edit the route in PE.

You can edit the route, but have to convert to 5/10m grid, is my understanding .
