Coal Country 2.0 vs Coal Country HDT

Hello all. I was wondering if anyone might know the differences in these routes. My Trainz+ Has Coal Country HDT installed. Is this the same route as Coal Country 2.0 from Jointed Rail's website? Or perhaps a version of the original Coal Country using HDT or maybe Coal Country 2.0 but with HDT? Thanks in advance.

G'day Kevin,

Coal Country HDT is an updated version of CC 1. CC 2.0 is a very different (standard resolution) version based around the original but about two or three times the size of CC1 with lots of added industries and even some significant changes to the original areas. CC 2.0 is basically a different route compared to the other two.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Piere.

Thanks Piere! Exactly what I needed to know.

Yeah like Piere said the HDT is N3Vs update to the original which I had very little to do with. Coal Country 2.0 is my latest release but is not HDT as I wanted it to be available to the majority of users :)
Thanks Scratchy, I'll be picking up 2.0 (and I'm sure a dozen or so other things) from your store in a few days. It's a lovely route, looking forward to exploring the new sections.

@scratchy I was thinking about bringing the OG CC to 22 standards. Using modern assets, swapping the trees for the new PF versions, swapping tracks, but leaving the core sessions as they are (well aside from removing the one rule that is no longer functional), and not changing the topology. Might even open up the collapsed bridges as another area of exploration. Have no desire to upload the work I do since this is your project. But I wanted to do you a solid and see if you were cool with this. Given that I'm broke I can't invest in your latest version sadly, but I was very impressed by the original.

I like mountainous routes with tunnels and bridges, like Reading and Northern, WMSR, etc. I want to buy CC 2.0 sometime. I have the first version.
