I have looked all over, but there is not a login spot that I can find. When I launch the game in steam, got to settings, go to My Trainz, it says I do not have an account and need to create one. What the hell?
Cannot use the "more content" on Steam because it's not finding my MyTrainz account login

Have you tried to use the Content Store from the Trainz Launcher? Clicking on a DLC to purchase should open it through steam store and not require a MyTrainz login.
On the MyTrainz tab of the Settings window are there two empty boxes for Username and Password? If so put your MyTrainz username and password in and hit return. It should come back with a message that you logged in successfully. It isn't entirely clear that you have to hit return to trigger the login process. This has gotten me once or twice.
