british warning signs

Could anyone point me in the right direction for a railway sign basically alerting train drivers not to go beyond a point as the loco is too heavy? Currently detailing the entrance to an iron ore mine on my route in TRS 2006 and would like a sign or something as I'll be having a shunter take the trucks up the gradient to the mine.

What era are you after?
Here are some example stop signs, I don't know if any are currently available in trainz though.
Old signs would be in this style

50s and 60s this sort of style:

And modern ones like this:

Obviously, all these signs would have the wording adjusted to suit the local conditions.

Not really too fussed on the era, aslong as it basically warns drivers that loco's are to heavy for the mine. If nothing can be found, I'll just put a yard office with a platform sign next to yard office.

I have already made the sign illustrated above - KUID275817:60771.

Other versions also available not limited to Midland. If you need help finding them, please ask but the KUIDS and place on the DLS will be close to this one.

I've also made available quite a number of the older, rather quirky signs.

Ray.

I can't ever remember seeing a standardised sign of the type you want, I think they were just worded to suit the situation e.g. "Mainline engines must not pass this point". Style would vary between companies and over time periods.

Easy enough to make one - can you find a picture of an original or do the artwork ?

Incidentally this site: http://www.railsigns.co.uk/ is a good reference source for signs and signals.

Cheers Ray, will have a look properly as just had a quick glance but the CMP on TRS 2006 is on a slow day today.

itareus, I don't think there ever was a sign, but no harm in asking around incase anyone made one. I think I'll just put a yard office next to the line, and a sign saying along the lines of, shunters only or something.

Something like that would be fine. Just without the BR at the top as basing it (loosely) on the period when BR was formed, so going to have plenty of LNER loco's and rolling stock and other company's (Southern SRE2 for example)

*EDIT*

http://www.railsigns.co.uk/sect20page1/sect20page1.html The 3rd sign at the top of the page [20.3] is suitable aswell, and that has no region markings.

OK, will be a couple of days - other, non Trainz, things to do. Will do a few variations and put on the DLS.

Managed to get 4 variations done and sent to the DLS today, 3 BR versions (no post, metal post, wood post) and one with no company name (no post).

A few more to follow, including 'no company' versions on posts. Edit: Two more uploaded today (1st March), that's all for now.

Note: These are 2.9 assets, you will need to download them and change the version number in the config to use in 2.6. (a few more config edits might be required, I no longer have 06 installed to test).
