Bakersfield To San Bernardino

Wow that looks absolutely fantastic....even from a "competitor's" point of view :hehe:

The track is what really pops out! That's some really prototypical pink ballast track. Question: are both of those two cuts, daylighted tunnels?

-Not the only 2 tunnels that were on the cajon sub, before 2008, were at Alray. Just a few miles downhill from summit. Thanks for the comments.

Oh yes... that route is getting sexy:udrool: Do you use the copy and paste for adding all of those textures and foliage? That seems like it would take forever to do in a few weeks... or maybe even months:eek:

-In a way yes. I setup a base of textures and vegetation then copy paste as necessary. Then I go back adding different variations of textures and vegetation as needed, etc.

-Thanks guys!

-UP 5513 makes a cross-over at summit to take the un-favorable 3% grade to Cajon then eventually to Colton:

-Sitting in a highly recommended spot at Silverwood if you ever get the chance to experience the west side of Cajon Sub Division:

-Another excellent spot located just off of powerline rd. This road was actually the very first paved road to go thru the Cajon Pass. This would be the road that would go left to right and under the bridge to the left:

-Got draw distance? Even with all the vegetation, and I'm still not done of course, frame rates are still excellent with everything maxed out, draw distance at 5000m. Really thanks to Jankvis's vegetation. Famous Hill 582 can been seen in this shot:

-And a couple from Hill 58.2:

-Even though I've been everywhere up and down the Cajon Pass, its cool to finally see it, correct, in the virtual world!

-Thanks! Here's where the former tunnel 1 use to be. Almost a hundred years since its creation, I think it has served its purpose. Tunnel 1 was 380 feet. Screens and concrete were put on the hillside for safety reasons:
