Bakersfield To San Bernardino

Placing just one RTS Track on your route should get rid of the lame Auran Click-Clack tracksound.

Real railroad audio tracks edited on top of a Fraps video, makes Trainz come alive with realizim.

-Finally got Tehachapi, Ca just about finished. a couple more minor tweaks here and there then time to move on!

-I like this pic of the summit for the fact you can see the arch in the train!

Doing a great job Joe!!! The flicks are fantastic and bring back alot of fond memories. I have gathered several photos of the hump at the end of the loop spur and will try to knock out a 3D model for you that can be incerted into your route. Keep up the great work. Your efforts are awsome.

Those videos and screenshots are terrific as always! Keep up the great work Joe and please tell me you're making off-PC backups of your work. Just a friendly reminder...

:)

Absolutely stunning! Every picture you post amazes me! You seem to be setting a new standard for the quality achievable in Trainz. I hope you're making backups on an external hard drive/flash drive, too.

-Thanks for aall the great comments again!!!! and yes i do back up quite frequently. Even the JR team have copies! if worst came to worst i would lose no more than a mile give or take! if something happened right now today, it would only be like 8-10 hours worth! yes, you can still get a lot done within those time frames but at least im not losing all of it like last time!
-just about half way done yay!
-Joe

Great to hear that you've got good backups of your work Joe, and that you're about at the halfway point. Keep up the great work!

Nice shots of Tehachapi there.

Great pics there Joe. :D

This route is incredible!!! How do you make it so accurate?
-Thanks guys!
-Well it's a combination of quite a few things. It all starts off with reference material then Tranzdem. Make the Dem and utm tiles with google images on them something like this http://hostthenpost.org/uploads/a1b3ddba838b0efb5bde2bf20d44d77b.jpg and then place what ever is the closest object that trainz has to offer in that place, to what it is in real life http://hostthenpost.org/uploads/2c50389c818478e5a63b503d57a9b1aa.png Its a lot of back and forth with reference material, web sites, google earth etc. It's not hard but its definitely not easy either. then you adjust pieces, objects, etc. then once everything is in place you texture. and so on and so on. everyone has there own way of building and this is one of mine!

Wow thats incredible its just an amazing route!!! Ohh and does this route use the surfliner for amtrak service or just a p42 and some superliners?

I haven't done any building in quite a while now, things are just too crazy hectic busy. But that's basically how I was building my GLC route Joe. Good stuff and thanks for sharing those tips with everyone.

-No. There hasn't been a passenger service on the Mojave sub for, I'm guessing since the early to mid 1900's. Occasionally there might be a re-route time to time when there is track maintenance on Amtraks normal route!

Last of the regualr passenger service ended in the mid 50's. Sorry if you meant that, but from the post it looks like you are saying it ended in the 30s.

Excellent work, Joe! Great detail. Are those Hub Group green containers reskins that you or Justin may have made? I don't recall seeing them included with the TPR pack. And upon looking carefully I see a green EMP!!
Now I oughta make some Gunderson, Thrall 53' wells and start back on my NSC, I need to come up with a good skinning map.

Great Work Joe!
What's the texture around the tracks?? And what's the dessert texture??
